nickel plating

Nickel electroplating is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of nickel onto a metal object. The nickel layer can be decorative, provide corrosion resistance, wear resistance, or used to build up worn or undersized parts for salvage purposes.

01

nickel chrome

Nickel chrome is what you see, not necessarily what you get. Depending on your application requirements, the layers of metal plating underneath the bright nickel chrome can include a copper strike, nickel strike, semi-bright nickel, high sulfur nickel, a layer of bright nickel, micro-porous nickel, and a final topcoat of chromium.

02

tin plating

Tin plating is the process of depositing a coating of solderable tin plating onto the surface of a material via an electrical current. Electroplating . Tin is a soft, ductile, silvery-white metal that is not easily oxidized in air.

03

copper plating

Copper plating is electrolytic plating that deposits a layer of copper onto the substrate.Copper provides a good level of corrosion resistance; however, it is not as effective at resisting corrosion as harder metals like nickel.

04

zinc plating

A process known as zinc plating is frequently used to protect metals such as iron and steel against the relentless forces of corrosion. Zinc plating involves the electrodeposition of a thin coating of zinc metal onto the surface of another metal object, known as a substrate.

05

electroless nickel

Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP) is the deposit of a nickel-alloy coating by chemical reduction – without the electric current that’s used in electroplating processes.

06

silver plating

Silver lends itself well to electroplating due to its unique properties, which are unlike many other metals. People have used this material for centuries across numerous industries — and for a good reason. The material's defining characteristics combine to create a metal that's durable. There are a few different kinds of silver that can be plated, which are separated by purity, hardness and finish.

07

zinc nickel

As a true alloy, Zn-Ni coatings are proven to provide two to three times more corrosion-resistant protection than zinc-only coatings. Furthermore, the crystal structures of Zn-Ni deposits are a uniform single structure that creates a thin, consistent protective layer across the entire surface being coated.

08

zinc iron

zinc is a shiny metal capable of being alloyed with various other metals. One of these is iron. Zinc-iron resembles zinc in color and other characteristics and both are popular plating metals. Yet, although we perform both types of plating at JBB Metal Finishing, some clients actually prefer, zinc-iron plating
